She understands the holistic offering that yoga can provide, but no where in her instruction is the pretense or the poor instruction so many – too many – yoga teachers offer. “I’ve been attending Janná’s classes as a beginner. The atmosphere of this class is always a relaxed sort of gentle reverence, we set up in a circle facing in, which is much more comfortable for me than the usual class style of lines of people facing the teacher. She works fluidly with practitioners of varied levels within her class, and helps find modifications for injuries or ailments that may inhibit a student’s abilities. Her own skill is impressive without being intimidating; a display of what is possible in a pose even if you can’t get quite into it now. Each class is different, so we never get bored with the same routine. There are several things I’ve learned in her classes that have changed how I use my body not just in my yoga practice but in most of my daily activities, and I learn something new each time I attend. Most distinct is how I always feel after one of Janná’s classes… I positively glow!”

“I started practicing yoga to become more physically fit. A year into my yoga practice, my husband, who I had been together with for over 20 years left with no warning. Attending yoga classes is what helped me begin to get through this traumatic loss. Janná’s classes in particular helped because she balances both the physical, mental and spiritual aspects well. “This is far over-due, but I wanted to write with gratitude for what Janná has done for my life (most likely without even knowing it!) I began practicing yoga in November. I had wanted to try yoga for a long time, but I was always a bit intimidated. I am a collegiate soccer player, and yoga was a bit out of my realm. From my first class with her, my roommate and I were hooked – not because we were naturally able to do yoga by any means, but rather, because of her calm, loving nature. Janná takes the time to individually assist everyone in her classes, making everyone comfortable, even those trying yoga for the first time.
